Indmar Products, Inc. produces stationary marine engines, which are used in high-speed boats for wakeboarding and water skiing, as well as in jet boats for sailing on rivers with turbulent currents. The company was founded in 1971 in Millington, Tennessee, by Dick Rowe, a US Marine Corps veteran. Indmar pickles automobile engines, that is, adapts them for use on boats. This is a complex process that involves large-scale reconstruction of all elements except the cylinder block to meet the requirements for small vessels and the regulatory requirements of the US Coast Guard.
Under the leadership of Chuck Row, son of Dick, Indmar has implemented many innovations in the shipbuilding industry and has become the largest privately owned manufacturer of stationary gasoline marine engines. For example, the company was the first to pickle Cadillac Northstar and Chevrolet LS-1 Corvette engines. Currently, the company produces various versions of the 16-valve engine of the Ford V-8 with a volume of 6.2 liters, which is used in the F-250 Super Duty truck.
Until the 1990s, all design work was done manually. Then the company began to use AutoCAD® 2D design tools, switched to Pro / ENGINEER® and Autodesk® Inventor® packages for 3D design. In 2014, Indmar's management decided to review the 3D design environment in use to simplify the exchange of data with customers and partners and streamline processes to shorten design cycles, increase productivity and accelerate production.
According to Jason Stimmel, vice president of engineering, Indmar decided to switch to the SOLIDWORKS® 3D integrated development platform. SOLIDWORKS Professional design solutions, SOLIDWORKS Premium design and analysis solutions, SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, SOLIDWORKS Composer ™ for technical data exchange, and SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional for product data management have been implemented. These applications are easier to use and more affordable, and also facilitate collaboration on engine design with customers - manufacturers of small boats.
“Almost all of our customers use SOLIDWORKS solutions, like many of our suppliers,” says Stimmel. “Thanks to the switch to SOLIDWORKS, we have a consolidated platform that simplifies data exchange and customer interaction in engine design.”

I have obtained a 2006 mastercraft x45 with a 8.1 indmar engine.the engine is in pieces and I am missing the exhaust manifolds and risers i believe it was a fresh water cooled, can anyone please tell me the part#s I am looking for.

I got a 1991 mastercraft maristar 240 with a 7.4 mercrusier indmar, I need a ignition wiring diagram. seems someone has put a few wires in the wrong places and I can't get the coil resistor and points wires to stay constant and not sure if the wires from the alternator are going to the right places.
