Hanse is one of the most famous brands in the Hanse Yachts holding. This relatively young German shipyard confidently holds a leading position among European manufacturers of world-class sailing yachts. The main direction of her activity is the creation of comfortable sports and cruise models in the range of 8-17 m, designed for ocean crossings.
The history of the shipyard began in 1990 with the foundation of a small yacht center on the university campus of Germany - Greifswald, famous for its rich shipbuilding traditions, whose roots go back to the 14-15th century. The advantage of this location is the ability to test each boat created here in the nearby Baltic Sea Bay.
In 1993, the founder of the shipyard, Michael Schmidt, acquired the rights to manufacture original yachts from the famous Swedish designer Bayer. The creation of modernized Swedish sailboats allowed Hanse to reach a whole new level and easily achieve success and worldwide recognition. Already in the autumn of the same year, Hanse sailing yachts made a splash at the international exhibition, and the shipyard was called a real “German hammer”. Even the most experienced sailors were impressed by the excellent driving characteristics of the boats of this brand, high-quality assembly and impressive cabin design. Having received many contracts for the creation of new yachts, Hanse shipyard did not confine itself to standards and once again conquered everyone by releasing new modified and more advanced models that finally consolidated her dizzying success in this area.
The designers of the boats of this shipyard adhere to the rule “Change the standards and create new traditions”. Therefore, each new Hanse model is a stylish, modern yacht with the latest innovative solutions. To create the hulls of such boats at the shipyard, GRP sandwich technology is used, which ensures their high strength with a relatively low weight. The yachts of this German shipyard often become winners of the most prestigious world regattas, which only confirms their excellent technical characteristics, which Hanse seeks to emphasize when creating any of its models.
Strict outlines of the hull distinguish these yachts from their competitors among a similar segment of models. Another characteristic feature of the boats of this shipyard are quite spacious interiors in the spirit of minimalism, which are equipped taking into account the maximum practicality and comfort for the crew and guests of Hanse sailing yachts. Each shipyard model is an easily managed reliable ship, on which you can safely go to the sea in any weather.
When creating its yachts, Hanse shipyard successfully combines modern technology and high-quality manual work, and the masterpieces of sailing shipbuilding find confirmation of the high level of production at various yacht exhibitions, winning worthy awards.

I am the proud owner of a Hanse 411 from 2004.
I will appreciate if you could send me the owner manual pdf. I am very interested in the rudder dimensions and location as seems mine is a bit separate from the hull.
