Century Boat Owners Manual PDF

The history of CENTURY boats and launches begins at the source of the last century. In 1926, two brothers, James and William Welch, founded the Century Boat Company in Milwaukee, the largest city in Wisconsin. At first they produced fishing boats, small yachts, and speed and racing boats Champion Racing Outboards.

In 1928, the brothers decided to relocate their shipyard from Wisconsin to Manistee, Michigan. There the company lasted 60 years.
In 1930, one of the Century boats, called HURRICANE, which means “hurricane,” broke the world record, reaching speeds of up to 81.96 km / h.
By 1937, the company was already offering customers 28 models of boats and boats.

During the Second World War, the company issued 3,600 specialized boats for the US Army, for which the brothers James and William received the military award “E Awards”. This honorary title in the shipbuilding sector at that time meant recognition of the impeccable and excellent quality of production.
Between 1950 and 1960 The Century Boat Company launched the famous CENTURY ARABIAN, as well as other models, such as CORONADO, VIKING and POLOMINO, which have long remained in history.
In 1967, the company launched its latest pure wood boat and began manufacturing boats and fiberglass boats.
